Phoenix Children’s 2013 Leapfrog quality and safety performance: Among the best in the nation
The 2013 Leapfrog Survey results are in, and for the second year in a row, Phoenix Children’s Hospital has been named a Top Children’s Hospital. Only 12 other children's hospitals in the nation met the Leapfrog Group’s high standards and this elite recognition demonstrates the Hospital’s firm commitment to quality and patient safety.
Phoenix Children’s received the highest possible ratings for:
- preventing medication errors
- appropriate ICU staffing
- steps to avoid harm
- and managing serious errors
These results demonstrate that Phoenix Children’s Hospital is committed to providing the safest care possible. Processes and systems are designed with patient safety in mind, and a culture has been established that clearly prioritizes patient safety.
