Drownings are a top cause of injury-related death for Arizona children. From 2009 to 2013, Arizona’s child and teen drowning rate was 50% higher than the US rate.
As a recognized leader in the field of drowning prevention, Phoenix Children’s Injury Prevention Center provides comprehensive and innovative programs to reduce child and teen drownings.
Tiffaney Isaacson is the program coordinator. She is also serves on the advisory council for the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and serves on the advisory council for the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.
