Down Syndrome Clinic

Every child is unique, and their needs evolve as they grow. That’s why we’ve created three specialized clinics for children with Down syndrome:

  • Prenatal clinic: We work closely with expectant parents navigating a Down syndrome diagnosis during pregnancy. We’ll help you understand the condition, connect you with resources in the community and help you feel empowered when it comes to caring for your child.

  • Infant clinic: Newborns and babies with Down syndrome often require specialized therapy, such as feeding therapy, as well as physical therapy and occupational therapy. Our multidisciplinary infant clinic brings together the specialists your baby and family need. These include a developmental pediatrician, nurse practitioner and rehabilitation therapists. Together, we’ll closely monitor your child’s growth and development, recommend services and guide you through every stage and age, while our therapy team provides a comprehensive evaluation.

  • Child clinic: During our child clinic, we meet with children, from ages 12 months to 21 years, and their families. Our multidisciplinary team includes a physician, nurse practitioner, occupational therapist, physical therapist and speech therapist. The team works together to monitor your child’s progress, address any new questions or concerns, and ensure your child has the support and resources they need to experience all life has to offer.
