BLS Renewal - Skills Check

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Please  COMPLETE:   BLS online certification test.

Also

Please BRING your current AHA BLS card.

Course Requirements:

Bring the Following to class:

1) A current AHA BLS Card (not expired) 

2) A copy of the completion certificate will be collected prior to your check-off.  The study info for this material can also be found in the student manual.

Please Note:

One week prior to your skills check-off you will receive an email including your key code/passcode for the online portion of the class with American Heart Association and an appointment time to report for the skills check portion of this class.  Your appointment will be scheduled for a 45 minute increment within the scheduled 4 hour timeframe of this event.

A printed CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION is required to attend the skills check. 

Everyone must print this certificate at the end of the online portion and bring it to the skills-check.

3) A Current American Heart Association BLS manual. Per AHA, all students must have a current AHA course textbook for their individual use before, during, and after the course. Students are expected to review the textbook before class and have immediate access to their own copies afterwards as a reference and review tool. Textbooks are designed for use and are a integral part of healthcare education. It is important to have a current version of the manual. They can be purchased from the PCH Gift shop or online from Worldpoint.

Withdrawal and Cancellation procedures and information:

Cancellations require a minimum of 48 hours notice. To cancel within 3 business days of class, email lifesupport@phoenixchildrens.com.
