Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a kind of counseling. It helps people change their behavior when they have mixed feelings about it. A counselor helps a person look at his or her feelings about stopping a harmful behavior, such as drug or alcohol abuse. The goal is to help the person find his or her own drive to change the behavior.
