In 2013, neurosurgery and neurology continued to gain further national reputation as a Center of Excellence, again moving up on the US News and World Report Best Children’s Hospitals ranking.
Our collaborative and comprehensive approach to medicine, education and research has resulted in Barrow at Phoenix Children's Hospital being the largest pediatric neuroscience center in the Southwest. We are proud to be one of the few hospitals to offer pediatric neurological diagnosis, neurosurgery and rehabilitation in one central location. Barrow at Phoenix Children’s multidisciplinary approach to neuroscience care includes the development of strategic partnerships with clinical research groups and research groups, locally, nationally and internationally.
In order to offer a full continuum of care, Barrow at Phoenix Children’s places an emphasis on teaching and professional educational programs. Education is vital to our vision. As of 2012, the Neurology Residency, Neurosurgery Fellowship, Neuroradiology and Neurology Fellowship have been accredited. Barrow at Phoenix Children’s is continually improving care through research and education.
