Welcome New Faculty and Staff

Barrow at Phoenix Children’s is excited to welcome Beth Trevino, MD and Laura Davis, MS, CRA to our institute.

Beth Trevino, MD joins our Developmental Pediatrics Department as a valuable second pediatrician with specialty training in developmental and behavioral pediatrics.

Dr. Trevino attended medical school at the University of Texas and completed her pediatric residency at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She then completed two, 1-year fellowship experiences in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA before accepting a position at San Ysidor Health Center in San Ysidor, California.

Dr. Trevino provided subspecialty developmental pediatric support to over 15 general practitioners in the medically underserved community of San Ysidro. She performed medical assessments and diagnostic services for children suffering from disorders including ADHD, Autism, receptive/expressive language delay, learning and cognitive impairments, and mood disorders.

Dr. Trevino recently moved to Arizona to take on her position with Barrow at Phoenix Children's Hospital. She is joined by her husband and soon to be 4-year-old daughter.

She is fluent in Spanish and has a special interest in medically underserved populations and physician education. Dr. Trevino looks forward to assisting in the evolution of the Developmental Pediatrics Department at Barrow at Phoenix Children's with the hope that the department will be able to launch an accredited Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship program.

Laura Davis, MS, CRA joins the Research Department at Barrow at Phoenix Childrens as the Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator. Ms. Davis has over 10 years’ experience in research and administration, most recently with the Office of Sponsored Research at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). 

Ms. Davis holds bachelor's and master’s degrees in economics from Rutgers University and has earned the Certified Research Administrator designation. She comes from a diverse background that includes positions at Arizona State University, the U.S Department of Agriculture – Foreign Agricultural Service (Foreign Service Officer), The Pillsbury Company, and Purdue University.  

Ms. Davis and her husband have two adult children. She enjoys competitive water sports, especially dragon boating, and has recently added Outrigger Canoeing to her list of favorites.

Ms. Davis looks forward to serving the Barrow at Phoenix Children’s Neuroscience community and supporting the growth of research funding.
