Physicians and Nurses
Robin K. Blitz, MD, FAAP is fellowship trained and board certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) and in Pediatrics. Dr. Blitz is the director of developmental pediatrics at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She has many years of experience in working with children and their families and in teaching residents. Along with being a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), she also is a member of Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, an organization that has provided leadership in residency education, and a Zero to Three Fellow. Dr. Blitz has also worked in various teaching capacities throughout her career.
Beth Trevino, MD, FAAP is Board Certified in Pediatrics and fellowship trained in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She had several years experience working with children with various developmental and behavioral issues and has a special interest in underserved populations. Dr. Trevino practiced as a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician in California for four and a half before joining the Developmental Pediatrics team at Phoenix Children's Hospital in 2013. Dr. Trevino is the Elective Director for medical students who rotate through the Developmental Pediatrics rotation at Phoenix Children's Hospital and assists in residents education and training as well.
Amber Wright, RN, MSN, CPNP is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and graduated from Arizona State University with her Masters in Science in Nursing in 2009. Amber has worked with children with special needs for over 10 years and also has experience in respite and habilitation care, emergency medicine, and chronic orthopedic disorders. In addition to serving a leadership role for Arizona’s chapter of National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), she is also a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (SDBP), National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC), and the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group (DSMIG-US). She is currently pursuing a post-Master's certificate in Positive Behavior Support at Northern Arizona University, and she is working to expand developmental pediatric services to the communities of Northern Arizona (including an exciting partnership with Flagstaff Medical Center).
