Heidi Dalton, MD, has been the Chief of Critical Care Medicine at Phoenix Children’s Hospital since 2009. Dr. Dalton earned her medical degree from Wayne State University. She completed her residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She also directs the research program in the division. Dr. Dalton is Director of Pediatric and Cardiac ECLS and a nationally and internationally renowned expert in ECLS. Heidi also serves as the division’s social director.
Sandra Buttram, MD, earned her medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Buttram completed her Pediatrics residency, chief residency, and fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Buttram’s expertise is in Neuro Critical Care and she is involved in many of the neuroscience projects and studies within the hospital and division. She facilitates the ICU EBM Journal Club and supervises fellow participation in this. Importantly, Dr. Buttram arranges the clinical call schedule for the division.
John Condie, MD
Paul Liu, MD, earned his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Liu completed a residency in Pediatrics at the Columbus Children’s Hospital and then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. He also completed an anesthesiology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota before joining the staff at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Dr. Liu has expertise in Neuro Critical Care, airway management, and pain and sedation departments.
