Bone Abnormalities Seen in Children (BASIC) Clinic
The BASIC Clinic team in the Center for Pediatric Orthopaedics offers services to treat a wide variety of bone conditions commonly seen in growing babies, children and adolescents.
Often, a condition is identified or diagnosed by a pediatrician, who may refer you to our pediatric specialists to assess, diagnose and treat your child. Families are welcome to self-refer if you suspect your child has a bone condition, to request a second opinion or to get treatment for your child.
Less than one percent of these common conditions require surgery:
- Knock knees
- Toe in
- Tibial torsion
- Femoral anteversion
- Flat feet
- Pes planus
- Feet turn in
- Knees turn out
- Feet pronate
