The primary aim of the program is to train interns in the profession-wide competencies needed to be a skilled psychologist working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and families in a medical setting. Additionally, multicultural/diversity issues, ethical practice, interpersonal skills, and professional behavior are addressed during the training year. There are two psychology internship positions. We offer two tracks: one in Pediatric Psychology and the other in Pediatric Neuropsychology. Both interns will receive training in assessment, consultation/liaison work, and outpatient therapy. Applicants must come from APA-accredited programs. Selection criteria include many other factors.
The program requires that applicants have received a minimum number of hours of the following at time of application:

Describe any other required minimum criteria used to screen applicants:
- Have three years post-bachelor’s, supervised clinical experience.
- Have completed at least four years of graduate school in psychology.
- Have two years post-bachelor’s supervised experience with children, adolescents and families.
- By the start of the internship, have completed all doctoral coursework and all qualifying and comprehensive exams.
- Have passed the proposal stage for doctoral dissertation.
