Quality & Safety at Phoenix Children's

U.S. News & World Report's Best Children’s Hospitals

For the sixth year in a row, Phoenix Children’s Hospital has been named to the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, the only hospital in Arizona to make the prestigious list.

U.S. News & World Report's national publication ranks children's hospitals annually for their clinical expertise and patient outcomes in 10 medical specialties (listed below). In the 2016-2017 rankings, Phoenix Children's is ranked in all 10 categories for the first time:

Phoenix Children's is one of only 25 children's hospitals in the United States to make the list in all 10 specialties in 2016-17. These rankings place Phoenix Children's in very rare company, among the elite children's hospitals in the nation and reflect the growing quality and reputation of Phoenix Children's premier clinical programs.

Now in its tenth year, the rigorous Best Children’s Hospitals survey asks hundreds of questions about survival rates, nurse staffing, subspecialists availability and many more pieces of critical information difficult or impossible for those in charge of a child’s care to find on their own. Then, U.S News takes this data from the survey and combines it with a reputation score based on a survey of pediatric specialists from across the country.
