Why Us?

Radiology & Imaging Department

Our team brings more than 200 years of combined pediatric-only experience. We’re a group of radiologists, neuroradiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, nurses and technologists who are specially trained to work with kids. Children are our only focus. This expertise results in safer, faster and more accurate results for our patients.

Here at Phoenix Children’s, we’re home to Arizona's Image Gently initiative, a national campaign to minimize radiation doses — without compromising diagnostic quality. We embrace Image Gently for all scans and imaging.

    Making our mark

Providing coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year, the Center for Pediatric Interventional Radiology is the only dedicated pediatric interventional radiology center in the Southwest, including Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.

    Knowing what to expect

It’s important to us to make patients feel at ease. To help them prepare for a visit to our Radiology Department, we share digital photos that walk them through the check-in area, show what they'll see on the way to the imaging area and demonstrate the equipment used.

    Patient disclaimer

Phoenix Children's requires all girls who are 11 years old or older, or younger girls who have started their periods, to be tested for pregnancy before procedures for inpatient and outpatient services. This helps us ensure we provide the safest care possible, as some procedures can be harmful to a pregnant female or unborn child. Please talk to your doctor, nurse or medical professional with any questions.
