Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's works with Brain Awareness Week (BAW), an international campaign to raise awareness about the human brain and the importance of brain research. This campaign was founded by Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives.
Each year, this global campaign includes advancing knowledge about the brain through BAW, held annually the third week in March. Hundreds of organizations plan events to celebrate the brain and explain the importance of education and research.
To advocate brain awareness, Barrow promotes brain awareness during this week with educational models, fun activities and a coloring contest in our waiting rooms on the third and fourth floor of the Ambulatory Building.
