As a pediatric nurse practitioner hospitalist with a strong background in pediatric cardiology, Courtney Howell, CPNP-AC/PC, strives to provide family-centered care. She considers parents key members of their child's healthcare team.

"I enjoy helping patients and their families navigate the hospital experience," Courtney says. "I love children and how resilient they are despite their situations."

Courtney's curiosity about how the human body works drew her to the field of nursing and eventually advanced practice. She enjoys working with a wide range of specialists and staff passionate about taking care of children.

"Phoenix Children's provides the best clinical care for the children of the Southwest," Courtney says. "I wanted to work with the best!"

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys hiking, golfing, cookie decorating and spending time with her family.
