About Farah R. Lokey, MD

After years of working as an electrical engineer designing microchips, Farah Rehman Lokey, MD, felt called to medicine. As a pediatrician, she is passionate about caring for children, especially those with special needs.

Dr. Lokey attended Arizona State University for her electrical engineering degree, then the University of Arizona for medicine. She trained at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix in pediatrics. She is an almost-native of Arizona, having moved here from London when she was 7 years old.

Dr. Lokey promotes family-centered care and care coordination across all specialties so parents feel empowered and comfortable when their children have more complex issues. She says she found "her people and a perfect fit" in pediatrics.

She found Phoenix Children's to be a perfect fit too. "Phoenix Children's is a stellar organization that balances what's needed to be the best pediatric hospital with the art and ethics of medicine," she says.
