Dr. Piwoz was instrumental in writing landmark legislation in New Jersey for HIV testing in pregnancy. The law became a template for other states to reduce HIV rates in newborns. As a researcher, Dr. Piwoz has published widely in professional journals and been an invited presenter at conferences, meetings and on podcasts. She also takes great pride in educating and mentoring the next generation of physicians.
