About Micah L. Olson, MD

I greatly enjoy being a Pediatric Endocrinologist, and what I love most is getting to know my patients and their families. I am a Phoenix native and third-generation Phoenician. After receiving a B.A. in Economics at Emory University in Atlanta, I attended medical school at University of Arizona, completed a Pediatric Residency at Phoenix Children's Hospital, and finally a Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at UT Southwestern in Dallas. In addition to my clinical roles, I serve as the Director for Continuing Medical Education at Phoenix Children's, and also have dedicated time to serve as the Study Physician for NIH-funded pediatric obesity research studies based at Arizona State University. My clinical and research interests include type 1 and type 2 diabetes, cholesterol disorders, and obesity. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 children, reading, and coaching my kids' sports teams.
