About Sharon H. Gnagi, MD

Sharon Gnagi, MD, is an ear, nose, and throat surgeon in Phoenix Children's Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Dr. Gnagi graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in cell and molecular biology and a minor in chemistry. She then earned her Medical Degree and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed an otolaryngology - head and neck surgery residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Following residency, Dr. Gnagi completed a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Gnagi treats all aspects of pediatric ENT, with a special interest in head and neck tumors, congenital neck masses, and the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. She has advanced training in management of cleft lip and palate and enjoys helping children better communicate by treating speech disorders such as velopharyngeal insufficiency and pathology affecting children's voices. She serves as a member of the aerodigestive team at Phoenix Children's, treating children with dysphagia, aspiration, airway anomalies, and children in need of airway reconstruction. She is a part of the Vascular Anomalies Clinic and the tracheostomy quality board to improve the care of patients with tracheostomies at Phoenix Children's Hospital. She has presented both nationally and internationally at conferences and has published numerous articles and multiple textbook chapters in the field of otolaryngology.Dr. Gnagi is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrcs. She is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Gnagi's interests include singing, the performing arts, dancing, yoga, and hiking.
