About Venkata N. Konanki, MD

Pediatrician Venkata Konanki, MD, grew up in India. Dr. Konanki's father, proud that his son graduated as a high school valedictorian, encouraged him to pursue a medical career.

After earning his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Konanki received pediatrics training in the United Kingdom. He completed his pediatrics residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. Prior to joining Phoenix Children's in June 2020, he practiced both outpatient and inpatient pediatrics in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, for 10 years.

Dr. Konanki is grateful to be part of the Phoenix Children's team, working closely with pediatric specialists to treat children with chronic or serious illnesses. He enjoys watching his patients grow and develop from birth to adulthood, and he is particularly interested in dermatology, behavioral health and prevention of obesity.
