Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Fellowship Programs

The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship program at Phoenix Children's Hospital is the only such program in Arizona. The program's first fellow started in July 2014 and currently accepts 2 fellows per year. Interested applicants can apply through a common Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Application adopted by the majority of Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship programs.

The Fellowship is designed to prepare physicians for a career in Pediatric Hospital Medicine as both excellent clinicians and academic thinkers. Fellows achieve the goals and objectives of the program through clinical and scholarly work as part of an individualized curriculum.

The Hospital Medicine Department has many experienced faculty members, some of whom have taught for more than twenty years as well as six fellowship trained hospitalists. Faculty knowledge and experience, combined with elements such as broad medical and surgical subspecialty support and an experienced staff form a strong foundation for the fellowship program. Fellows have access to pursue an advanced degree through the University of Arizona.
