Phoenix Children’s Hospital Announces Respiratory Virus Season Restrictions

Starting Saturday, December 17 at 5:00 a.m., Respiratory Virus Season visitor restrictions will be in effect at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This means visitors must be at least 12 years old to visit with patients who are hospitalized.

Children less than 12 years of age are not allowed:

  • past the 2nd floor clinics in the Main Tower
  • past the Emily Center in the East Tower (except for siblings of patients seen by Outpatient Rehab)
  • past the entrance of PCH Mercy Gilbert

In addition, inpatients are not allowed in the cafeteria, gift shop and lobby areas during hospitalization until RSV restrictions are lifted.

Signage will be posted throughout the hospital and Infection Prevention & Control will distribute educational information on the units for both staff and family.
