Blood & Marrow Transplant Program

When your child needs a bone marrow transplant (BMT), you want to know that their care meets the highest standards. You can rest assured that your child will receive the best possible care from the Ottosen Family Blood and Marrow Transplant program within Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

Accredited by FACT

We are the only pediatric BMT program in the Valley. We have been accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) since 2006. That means we provide the highest standard of care to our transplant patients. Our BMT program has survival rates in the top 10 percent nationally.

Research Strong

Our hospital is a National Marrow Donor Program transplant site. Our BMT program is an active participant in national research consortiums such as the Children’s Oncology Group, the Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy Consortium ( previously know as Pediatric Blood & Marrow Transplant Consortium), and the Clinical Trials Network.

Our team is on the front lines of groundbreaking research into cellular therapy and related topics, and we provide access to clinical trials if your child may benefit.

Nationally Ranked

Phoenix Children’s is consistently recognized as a “Best Children’s Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report. We are one of only 24 hospitals nationwide to receive top rankings in every surveyed specialty area.
