- We are working toward a world with true acceptance of disabilities. Talking to children about disabilities, including autism, can be challenging. It’s really hard to know what to say sometimes. Here are some tips for talking about autism with children who don’t have autism.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data found that nearly one in five children had a mental, emotional or behavioral disorder, but only about 20 percent received care from a specialized mental healthcare provider.

- Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder in which the body makes a thick, sticky mucus that can cause severe problems in the lungs, digestive system and other organs in the body. It is relatively rare, affecting about 40,000 people in the United States, and while there is no cure for the disorder, scientists are making significant strides in developing treatments that are allowing people with CF to live longer and healthier lives.
