The Phoenix Children's Hospital's Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program is ACGME accredited. We accept up to 2 fellows per year, with a 3-year academic program for pediatrics trained residents, inclusive outpatient, inpatient, and research experience distributed over that period. Our fellows are based at Phoenix Children's Hospital with rotations in Liver, Hepatology, expansive multidisciplinary clinics, and elective opportunities in radiology and pathology. The formal education program consists of didactic lectures, literature reviews, structured reading, hands-on endoscopy and therapeutic endoscopy training, and national CME activities.  PGI Fellows will have opportunities to teach in-house pediatric residents, and rotating residents, medical students from various programs throughout the valley and beyond, including Mayo, Creighton, University of Arizona.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is home to the largest pediatric gastroenterology group in Arizona! Gastroenterology fellows will train in a multidisciplinary team consisting of 14 pediatric gastroenterology trained attendings and three hepatology and liver transplant subspecialists.
