Coordinated Care for Your Peace of Mind
You and your baby’s medical care is our top priority. Providing that care for your family in a kind and thoughtful way is what sets Phoenix Children’s apart. We will provide you with a single point of contact for all your fetal care needs. Our compassionate care team is specially trained and experienced to partner closely with you and your family to develop an individualized care plan to guide and support you through each and every step of your baby’s medical journey. We want to make sure that you have a complete understanding of your baby’s condition and all available treatment options.

- Collaborate with you on a comprehensive, coordinated plan that’s right for your baby and family
- Provide an easy-to-follow roadmap that outlines all care information, steps and options so you can make decisions that are right for your family
- Communicate, on your behalf, with all involved medical specialists, which includes your obstetric (OBGYN), maternal fetal medicine (MFM) and neonatal providers
- Assist you in scheduling any necessary appointments, including testing and fetal imaging, consults with specialized providers, counseling services and post-natal follow-up
- Offer a variety of educational resources, based on your baby’s condition, that will help you during and after treatment
- Always be there to speak with you, answer any of your questions and address your concerns

Advanced Fetal Imaging Services
Advanced medical imaging may be considered to help your team of obstetric, maternal fetal medicine and pediatric specialists determine your baby’s condition. Your dedicated care coordinator will work with you to schedule any necessary imaging appointments at our main hospital, which features the latest in state-of-the-art imaging technology, including:
- Fetal ultrasound
- Fetal echocardiography
- Computerized Tomography (CT)
- Fetal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Using clear, high resolution images, our expert fetal and pediatric radiology specialists are committed to providing your baby’s care team with imaging results and expert insights needed to drive accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, parental counseling and decision making — without high radiation doses.

Nationally-recognized Fetal Cardiology Program
As the fifth largest pediatric cardiac program in the U.S., Phoenix Children’s is the go-to hospital should your baby be diagnosed with a fetal structural heart defect, like congenital heart disease or a rhythm disturbance like arrhythmia. With the largest and most experienced team of pediatric heart specialists in the Southwest region, our team is trained to care for your baby’s heart condition before birth through adulthood.
Our knowledge and expert service has earned us a spot on U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery, and top rating by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for our congenital cardiothoracic surgery program.

Level IIIc Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Phoenix Children’s offers a Level IIIc NICU, the most advanced certification designation from the Arizona Perinatal Trust.
Should your baby need round the clock monitoring and care, you can be assured that your baby is in highly qualified hands. Phoenix Children’s has an expert team of neonatologists, pediatric specialists, sub-specialists, and dedicated NICU nurses all extensively experienced in managing the most critical newborn cases.
