Quality

Hematology Department

You want your child to have the best quality of life now and into adulthood. When your child has a blood disorder, you need a care team — and a hospital — that is as committed as you are.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is home to the largest pediatric hematology program in the state. We have Arizona’s only federally funded hemostasis and thrombosis program (HTC), offering the most advanced treatments and support services to children with bleeding and clotting disorders. Our bone marrow failure program is a regional leader, and we work closely with the only pediatric bone marrow transplant program in the Valley to be accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). Our care and services for children with sickle cell disease are unrivaled regionally.

Committed to Children, Families and Futures

Our team members — from physicians and nurses to social workers and support staff — have committed their professional lives to helping children and families. They are leaders in their respective fields, and many are actively involved in finding new ways to help children with blood disorders live healthier lives.

Every child deserves a carefree life and a hopeful future. We are working to make sure that every child with a blood disorder has a chance to live, grow and enjoy being a kid.

Phoenix Children’s is consistently recognized as a “Best Children’s Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report. We are one of only 24 hospitals nationwide to receive top rankings in every surveyed specialty area.
