Child Neurology Residency

Curriculum Total: 13 blocks, 4 weeks each

PGY-3

(Adult Neurology Requirement done at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center)

  • Six blocks on inpatient rotations (to include general neurology and stroke)
  • Three blocks of outpatient clinical adult neurology (neuro-oncology, cognitive, movement disorders, neuro-immunology, epilepsy and neuromuscular)
  • Three blocks of required subspecialty adult neurology clinical experiences
  • Half day per week designated to pediatric continuity clinic

PGY-4

  • Six blocks outpatient child neurology
  • Six block inpatient child neurology
  • Half day per week designated to pediatric continuity clinic

PGY-5

  • One block of psychiatry
  • One block of pediatric neurosurgery
  • One block of PEMU
  • One block of EEG
  • One block of pediatric neuroradiology
  • One block of neuropathology
  • One block of research
  • One block of neuropsychology
  • Three blocks required subspecialty experiences
  • Two blocks inpatient wards
  • Half day per week designate to pediatric continuity clinic
