Jamie M. Fleming, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Phoenix Children's. Dr. Fleming provides a wide range of anesthesia and sedation services for children, and she has specialized training in pain management.

As a native of the Phoenix area, Dr. Fleming enjoys spending time her family and working with her talented colleagues at Phoenix Children's. Her patient care philosophy is based on listening carefully to patients and their families in order to offer the best possible care plan.

Dr. Fleming graduated magna cum laude with an undergraduate degree in finance from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in anesthesiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she was named chief resident. Dr. Fleming pursued fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology, as well as adult and pediatric chronic pain medicine, at Children's Hospital of Colorado and University of Colorado.

She is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in general anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia and pain medicine. Dr. Fleming is a member of several societies including: American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, the Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine and the Spine Intervention Society. She has published peer-reviewed research in journals including Paediatric Anaesthesia and Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Fleming enjoys the beauty and climate of Arizona. She likes all types of cuisine and spends her free time trying new restaurants, as well as traveling, painting and exercising.
